Am I entitled to a rebate on my electricity?

The South Australian Government provides an energy concession of up to $120 per year to eligible pensioners and beneficiaries. You may be eligible to receive an energy concession if you have a valid:

  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • DVA Gold Card
  • Centrelink-issued Concession Card

My energy bill is higher than I expected. Why?

There are a few reasons why your energy bill may be higher than expected:

  • Remember that using energy-hungry appliances like heaters or air conditioners quickly adds to the cost of your bill.
  • If you have guests staying at your home, this can increase energy usage and raise the cost of your bill.
  • Learn how to save money and energy by improving energy efficiency in your home.

What should I do if I'm moving house?

Please contact us at least 5 business days prior to your move. We will make all the necessary arrangements for you.

What should I do if I'm moving house and ending my energy account?

You must contact us at least 5 business days before you intend to vacate your property. It is also important that you provide us with a forwarding address for your final bill.

How do I pay my bill?

  • Online by credit card
  • By direct debit from your bank account or credit card
  • By mail using a cheque or money order
  • In person at any branch of Australian Post
  • By Easypay card
  • Over the phone or via the internet using BPAY

When is my next meter reading?

You can find this information on the back page of your South Australia Electricity bill. Generally, your electricity meter is read every three months.

Can I send South Australia Electricity my meter readings?

Yes, you can do this online. Simply log on to the Customer Zone and follow the on-screen instructions. By sending us your meter readings you will allow us to estimate your energy usage as accurately as possible between readings taken by your distributor.
